Hello Visitor! My name is Natasha Tsakos (but you already know that) Here is what drives me: I am inspired by disciplines other than my own and love to learn new concepts that inspire and push the boundaries of my cognitive periphery. Two, I am fascinated with Space! In fact, I want to create shows for outer space environments. Finally, I find purpose in applying my skills -- as a Show Maker, Public Speaker, Video Artist, Writer -- to serve messages that elevate our collective consciousness and understanding of the world. I thrive off the challenge of engaging audiences to feel new concepts and ideas through the thoughtful sequencing of associative networks of information and dream-like collisions. There you have it! I hope you’ll enjoy my work and look forward to connecting with you. - Natasha Tsakos

DESCRIBED AS “A Talent of the Next Generation” Natasha Tsakos is known for pioneering ways of integrating technology with live performance. She is a show maker, conceptual director, interactive designer, performer, writer and producer from Geneva, Switzerland residing in the US. Natasha is the President of NTiD Inc: a production company dedicated to inventing possibilities through theatrical experiences.

SHOW MAKER Tsakos’ work blends live performance with cinematic techniques, technology, non-linear storytelling and music dynamics to make "profound statements on the way we live in an utterly original language". Natasha conceptualizes, designs, storyboards, directs and produces live multimedia shows and often performs in them. Credits include UP WAKE, a four year commission by Miami Light Project and Miami Performing Arts Center with sold out performances at the inaugural grand opening of the Adrienne Arsht Center. Nominated “Best Dance Performance of the Year” by The Sun Post, UP WAKE toured within the US and Mexico, leading to an invitation to the TED stage. The same year, Tsakos was presented with a “South Florida's 100 Power Players” Award by Florida International Magazine. CLIMAX, a pop-vocative performance on climate change boldly opened the G20 Summit in Los Cabos, Mexico, Al Gore’ Climate Reality Project, the Art Directors Club Award Ceremony at the New World Center, The Museum Of Memory and Tolerance in Mexico City, and the Luxembourg Sustainability Forum at the European Convention Center. OMEN, commissioned by Miami Light Project, took the audience on a roller coaster through time using mnemonic techniques and animated data sets 3D mapped onto the stage, following a character who loses his head. OMEN opened the Sustainatopia Conference at The Fillmore in Miami Beach, and was presented by Santillana for its Smart Book initiative in Mexico City. ZO, a TV competition show satire of operatic proportions featuring over three hundred artists and the live orchestra of The Governor School for the Arts, in honor of its 35th anniversary, premiered at the Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Virginia. SUPER INTENSO and SUPER WOMAN, two multimedia shows commissioned by the Discovery Channel premiered at Gotham Hall in New York City and inaugurated DISCOVERY Brazil 20th Anniversary in São Paolo. QUARRY, an arena-scale production commissioned by ad agency Circus, was presented at Centro Banamex and at the historical site of San Hipólito, in Mexico City. FACE FORWARD: a Manifesto for the Future opened the Tribeca Film Festival Imagination Day, which Natasha also hosted, presenting some of today’s most influential and groundbreaking minds. COLOURS a nonsense, an award-winning absurd tragicomedy entirely made up of invented words, which she wrote, premiered at the Miami Theater Center Sand Box. In 2015, Natasha began the development of her most ambitious production to date: HUMANODE, a blueprint for digitizing and gamifying entertainment to generate and maximize collective action. Humanode, an ode to humanity, is a live experience that directly impacts the world in real time, and blends real time data, gaming, distributed ledger technology with storytelling panache for social impact. /// The pandemic hits /// As the world began to zig onto virtual platforms, Natasha began to zag and reimagine how live entertainment could be produced and experienced, and received a Knight Foundation New Work Award tasked to create a show that could endure the pandemic and thrive beyond it. On a mission to scale joy, she and an all-star team created CARABOOM The Greatest Carwashow on Earth. Described as “A Must See Show” by the Miami New Times and “An achievement within an achievement” by the Jitney, CARABOOM world premiered in the heart of Downtown Miami, in spring 2022, to raving crowds, and was voted "#1 Best Attraction of Miami-Dade" in 2023 by the Miami Herald. Natasha recently premiered OPUS 9, a Planetary Concerto in Three Movements for Frontiers Planet Prize, in Montreux, Switzerland. The agenda featured Dr. Jane Goodall, former Vice President Al Gore, Eighth Secretary-General to the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, and Yuval Noah Harari.

PERFORMER A classically trained actor, Natasha has been featured on The Travel Channel, HBO, MTV, PBS, and the BBC. She has performed at the Super Bowl Opening Ceremony in 2007 with Cirque du Soleil; who later sought her to develop a new show. Natasha has entertained Pharrell Williams, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, the Miami Heat, and has appeared at the Coachella Festival. She was a member of Adrienne Arsht Center's first theater group Urban Disturbance, the lead performer of interactive circus troupe Circ X with over 10,000 scheduled events and two US tours, a company member of Octavio Campos’ Hybrid Dance Theater Company Camposition, featured in Bug Chasers at the Adrienne Arsht Center and anti-bullying multimedia performance Intention Intervention presented at the New World Center. Distinguished by the New Times as “a female Bill Irwin, or Marcel Marceau on ecstasy”, Natasha has worked with the Big Apple Circus (NYC) as a Doctor clown at the Miami Children Hospital for two years, and traveled to Haiti after the earthquake, bringing joy in camps and orphanages under the umbrella of EcoWorks International. As a voice over artist, Natasha has dubbed over 900 TV shows and feature films.

WRITER While the majority of her work is universal and devoid of words, Natasha has written 12 original works including The Eskimans, a full length interactive cartoon for Nickelodeon, The Lost Architect and COLOURS a nonsense, which won the Independent Book Publishers Association “Benjamin Franklin Digital Gold Award”, and is available on Amazon and iTunes as a paperback, eBook and audiobook which she narrates.

VIDEO ARTIST Natasha studied film theory and editing with Mark Boswell, founder and leading theorist of the NOVA-KINO experimental cinema movement. She creates, directs, edits and produces short films including New Day, nominated Best Pop Music Video by the Indie Music Channel featuring award-winning singer-songwriter April Henry, a series of shorts for the Ford Fiesta Movement which were awarded “Best Body of Work”, and most recently Urgent: Conversation a poignant testimonial on climate change and biodiversity commissioned by IMS Luxembourg for the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26.

AT THE INTERSECTION OF ARTS & TECHNOLOGY. Natasha's trajectory has ranged from TED talks and the United Nations to "a mind-boggling array of projects blending fantasy, technology, media and liberating performance". Natasha received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from the University of Florida and New World School of the Arts, who honored her with the Alumni Recognition Award, the first in the college’s  history. She has acquired backgrounds in tech, film, design, animation, and performance and trained with world renowned artists including Marina Abramović. A year prior to the launch of Xbox’ Kinect, Natasha was brought on as a Creative Developer working at Digital Worlds Institute with engineers and Organic Motion Stage System. The goal was to craft an open-source, marker-less, interactive motion capture software that could conjure sound in real-time seemingly out of thin air. The preliminary phases premiered at the eComm Conference in San Francisco and SIGGRAPH. Natasha was a finalist of the World Technology Awards presented in association with CNN, Time and Fortune Magazine; A Singularity University Alumnus and won the Global Impact Competition in 2015, a Google/NASA sponsored program focused on accelerating technologies to address Humanity's greatest challenges. She is a United Nations Women’s Entrepreneurship fellow, a former ambassador to the TwentyThirty UNSDSN Youth Project, founder emeritus of SingularityU Miami Chapter, an advisor of Exponential Creativity Ventures, and on the board of directors of TEDxBroadway. Natasha holds a NASA Certificate of Training with Chamber Flight to FL250, and received her certificate of completion from MIT New Space Economy program as her moonshot is to create shows in and for outer space environments.

PUBLIC SPEAKER Passionate about the convergence of arts and technology, Natasha shares her work and vision at conferences worldwide including TEDGoogle, IBM Summit, International Symposium of Augmented Reality, The European Investment Bank, Boma China, AdidasTEDxBroadway, TEDxPuraVidaJoven, TEDxSanDiego, and The United Nations General Assemblyamongst others. She was the host of Startup Nation, HORASIS Extraordinary Meeting on the United States of America, and the Tribeca Film Festival’s Imagination Day.

ON A MISSION TO PIONEER PERFORMANCES IN MICROGRAVITY!  Space has often insinuated itself in Tsakos' multimedia-shows, metaphorically at first. Throughout the years, Space became very real. Natasha has had the opportunity of participating in Dr. Patricia Cowings' Lunar-G and Impedance Study at NASA Johnson Space Center where she trained in the hypobaric chamber, flew the Lunar Parabolic Flight and received her Certificate of Training. Learning from astronauts and scientists inspired her to further instigate the training required for space missions as an artist. She later partook in Neutral Buoyancy training at NASA Moffett Field as part of her Singularity University's Graduate Studies Program. In 2023, Natasha completed the New Space Economy program at MIT, which enriched her general understanding of the Space sector and helped her crystalize her Artistic place in it. She volunteers for the Space Foundation, including for the 39th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs. In early 2024, Natasha kickstarted the launch of Microgravity Adventures: an entertainment venture on a mission to pioneer performances in microgravity.

VISIONEER Beyond the substance of her work is an insatiable drive to evolve the performing art form and stretch the confines of what is possible. Natasha is in love with a Theater that does not exist. That is what keeps her going. The constant search for new modalities, the questions and possibilities. Her mission is to create extraordinary experiences on this planet and beyond, that inspire wits, wonder, and wake.

Contact Natasha to commission a new work, book a speaking engagement, or take her to space! Really.
