How do you craft a story that sticks? In this fast-paced, hands-on storytelling lab, multidisciplinary show maker Natasha Tsakos distills tips, tricks, and lessons from 25 years of theatrical adventures to guide first-year animation students through the art of simplicity, clarity, and surprise. Through ideation sprints, creative pruning, and narrative sculpting, you'll probe tension, conflict, and resolution, and learn how to distill a full cinematic arc into a punchy two-minute film. Expect brainstorming without borders, bold and unusual choices, and stories that hit the core!

Leading women in space, astrophysics, and adjacent fields gather in Chicago for a two-day convening to advise the future Women's Leadership Center at Williams Bay. Hosted by Ann Drake with astronaut Cady Coleman, the event kicks off with the Giant Magellan Gala at the Adler Planetarium, followed by a full-day strategic visioning session.

LALA OPEN STUDIO
Workshop: Reimagining Movement and Meaning in Microgravity
What happens when gravity disappears? In this LALA Open Studio, participants explore how we move, create, and dream beyond Earth. Through collaborative play and embodied exploration, the one-of-a-kind laboratory reimagines performance in the absence of gravity, developing a new performance language for space.
This workshop draws directly from the creation of PARABOLES, the first research-driven performance made for microgravity. No experience required. Just curiosity, courage, and a willingness to let go.

The evening opened with Natasha Tsakos unveiling PARABOLES, followed by a thought-provoking panel featuring bioastronautics researcher Yvette Gonzalez and Brandi Lafontaine, CEO of Togetherwith, moderated by innovation strategist, professor and author Robert Wolcott.

Join visionary artist Natasha Tsakos as she explores the possibilities of storytelling in outer space—pushing the boundaries of imagination, technology, and immersive experience beyond Earth. Sunday June 29, 2025, 4-5pm
The Miami Immersive Intensive (MII) is a four-day convening co-produced by Juggerknot Theatre Company and Live Arts Miami . The program is designed to train local and national artists in the tools, language, and methodology of immersive and site-specific experiences while fostering collaboration with industry leaders both nationally and internationally.

The Conference for Research on Choreographic Interfaces (CRCI) was founded by Sydney Skybetter at Brown University in 2015 to consider the intrinsic risks and creative possibilities of surveillant computational systems. The convening’s participants-- with expertise in choreography, digital art, interface design, hardware hacking, ethnography, data science, facilitation and software design-- gather annually to collectively consider productive interventions in emerging technologies with the belief that bringing artistic intelligences to engineering will make the world more equitable, sustainable, and embracing of creative discourse.

International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS)
BIO 104 provides instruction on spacesuit use in nominal and off-nominal post-landing environments. Students demonstrate reliable functionality of parachute release, life preserver unit (LPU), and snorkel functionality in varying sea and lighting conditions. Students also learn the effective use of radios, beacons, signal flares, and other signaling devices in water and egress bottle use for egress operations.
